Your privacy matters to us. This Privacy Policy explains what information Linkaty collects, how we use it, who we share it with, and — most importantly — what control you have over it. We've written it in plain language on purpose: you should be able to read this and actually understand what happens to your data, not just scroll past it.
1. Information We Collect
Account information: when you register, we collect your username, email address, and password (stored securely — see Section 7). If you subscribe to a paid plan, we (or our payment/checkout partners) process the billing details needed to complete that transaction.
Your page content: anything you add to your Linkaty page — your display name, bio, links, product listings, images, fonts, and theme choices — is stored so we can display your page to your visitors. This content is, by design, publicly visible to anyone who visits your page.
Uploaded files: profile photos, cover images, and product images you upload are stored on our servers (or our storage provider's) so they can be displayed on your page.
Order and customer information: if you use our cash-on-delivery order forms, you'll collect your own customers' names, phone numbers, delivery addresses, and order details through your page. We store this data so you can view, manage, and fulfill those orders. See Section 3 for how this specific category of data is handled — it deserves its own explanation.
Usage and device information: like most websites, we automatically collect some technical information when you or your visitors use Linkaty — IP address, browser type, device type, pages visited, and referring links. We use this to keep the service secure, fix problems, and understand which features are actually useful.
Cookies: we use a small number of cookies for essential functions (keeping you logged in, remembering your language preference) and, where enabled, analytics cookies to understand overall site usage. See our cookie banner and Section 6 below for details.
2. How We Use Your Information
We use the information we collect to: operate and maintain your account and page; process your subscription and billing; deliver order notifications and one-time verification codes (for example, over WhatsApp or email); respond to support requests; detect and prevent fraud, abuse, or security incidents; understand usage patterns so we can improve the product; and comply with legal obligations that apply to us.
We do not sell your personal information. Ever. That's not a marketing line — it's a straightforward commitment: your data is not a product we trade in.
3. Data You Collect From Your Own Customers
This is important, so we're explaining it clearly and separately. If you use Linkaty's order forms to sell products or take bookings, you are collecting personal information (name, phone number, address, and similar) from your own customers, for your own business purposes. In that relationship, you are responsible for that data and how you use it — Linkaty simply provides the platform and secure storage that makes it possible.
On our side, we commit to: storing that data securely; never using it for our own marketing; never selling it to anyone; and only accessing it as needed to operate the platform, provide you support, or as required by law. If one of your customers wants their information corrected or removed, you can do that directly from your dashboard, or reach out to us and we'll help.
4. Sharing and Disclosure
We share information only in these situations: with service providers who help us run Linkaty (hosting, storage, email/WhatsApp delivery, analytics, payment processing) — and only the information they need to do their specific job, under confidentiality obligations; when required by law, legal process, or to protect the rights, safety, or property of Linkaty, our users, or the public; or with your consent, for any other purpose we've clearly told you about in advance.
We do not share your personal data with third parties for their own marketing purposes.
5. Cookies and Tracking Technologies
We use essential cookies that are necessary for the site to function (session management, keeping you logged in, remembering your language). We may also use analytics cookies to understand how visitors use our site, in aggregate, so we can improve it. You can control or delete cookies through your browser settings at any time; blocking essential cookies may affect how well the site works for you. See the cookie notice shown on our site for more detail and to manage your preference.
6. How Long We Keep Your Data
We keep your account information for as long as your account is active. If you delete your account, we delete or anonymize your personal data within a reasonable period, except where we're required to keep certain records for legal, tax, or security purposes. Order data you've collected from your own customers is kept as long as your account is active so you retain access to your own business records, and is deleted along with your account.
7. How We Protect Your Data
We take reasonable, industry-standard measures to protect your information: passwords are never stored in plain text (they're hashed); data is transmitted over encrypted connections; access to production systems is restricted to those who need it; and we monitor for suspicious activity. No system is 100% immune to risk, but we treat the security of your data — and your customers' data — as a genuine responsibility, not a checkbox.
8. Your Rights and Choices
You have real, exercisable control over your data. At any time, you can: access and update most of your account and page information directly from your dashboard; request a copy of the personal data we hold about you; request that we correct inaccurate data; request that we delete your account and associated personal data; and object to or opt out of non-essential communications from us.
To exercise any of these rights,
Contact Us — we'll respond promptly and walk you through it. You don't need a lawyer or a formal process; a simple message is enough to get started.
9. Children's Privacy
Linkaty is not directed at children, and we don't knowingly collect personal information from children. If you believe a child has provided us with personal information, please
Contact Us and we'll remove it.
10. Changes to This Policy
We may update this Privacy Policy from time to time as our service evolves. If we make material changes, we'll take reasonable steps to let you know (such as a notice on our site). The "last updated" date at the top of this page always reflects the current version.
11. Questions
If anything in this policy is unclear, or you just want to ask us something about your data,
Contact Us. We'd genuinely rather you ask than wonder.
